The loving brother of Ellen Schwartz and Jan Slotnick, dear step brother of Sheryl and Joe Corratti and Lester and Amy Rotberg. Cherished uncle of Michael Slotnick. Beloved nephew of Joanne and the late John Bernstein. Dear son of the late Abraham and Elaine Schwartz-Rotberg and the loving step son of the late Henry Rotberg aka the Silver Fox.
He grew up in Swampscott, graduated from Swampscott High School in 1976. He was a dedicated worker for the commonwealth of Massachusetts. He loved animals, history and was a devoted Red Sox fan. He cherished his time spent with family, friends, discussing current events.
A funeral service for David will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Stanetsky- Hymanson Memorial Chapel on 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970. Interment will be private. Due to Covid concerns Shiva will be private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923, online at giving.caredimensions.org or to an animal shelter of your choice in David’s memory.
