Daffe, Dorothy- of Salem. Entered into Rest April 5, 2013 at the age of 82. Dotty was a pediatric Registered Nurse in Salem for over 50 years. She touched countless lives by serving children with her care and humor. Dear daughter of the late Samuel and Bessie (Portnoy) Helzner.Devoted mother of Paul Bloom and his wife Phyllis of W. Warwick, RI; Steven Bloom and his partner Frank Rosario of Belgium; Mark Bloom and his wife Deborah of Asheville, NC; Andrea Bloom and her wife Sharon Porschatis of Lakeside, CA. Loving sister of Albert Helzner and his wife Audrey of Marblehead and Manuel Helzner and his wife Roberta of Gaithersburg, MD. Cherished grandmother of Wendy Arroyo and her husband Jay of N. Providence, RI and Douglas Bloom and his wife Dana of Middletown, CT. Beloved great grandmother of Joshua and Hailey Arroyo. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St, Salem, MA 01970. Interment will follow at Sons of Jacob Cemetery, Buxton Road, Danvers. Shiva will be held immediately following interment through Thursday, April 11th at her late residence.
