Born in Malden, MA, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Goldie (Pearlman) Dorfman. Eileen was a member of the first graduating class of Brandeis University class in 1952. She also enjoyed the distinction of being the matriarch of three generations of Brandeis graduates.
She enjoyed playing Bridge. card games and Mahjong. She was a champion player of word games, especially Scrabble in fact, most people feared taking a place across the board from her. Of all her interests and passions, Eileen’s most treasured was the time she spent with her family. She was loved by everyone.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Cheryl Kessler Katz and her husband Alan of Marietta, GA; David S. Kessler and his wife Kathy of Newnan, GA; Joel S. Kessler and his wife Jean of Brockton, MA and Cyndi Smith and her husband Allan of Litchfield, NH. She also leaves 12 adoring grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11am at Pride of Boston Cemetery, Washington St., Woburn, MA.
