Francine (Post) Fluke, of Ipswich, formerly of Lynnfield, passed away after a lengthy illness on June 23, 2018 at Avita of Newburyport. For 52 years, she was the beloved wife of Attorney Loring Paul Fluke.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 7, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Clarice (Stoll) Post.
For the past 16 years she was a resident of Ipswich, but had previously lived in Lynnfield for 29 years and also in Swampscott. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a gourmet cook and loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Francine was an active member of the Ipswich Country Club where she had served on many committees over the years. She was also an avid tennis player and golfer.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stacie (Robert) Turtledove of Leawood, KS, Michael (Haven) Fluke of Tarpon Springs, FL, Douglas (Lindsay) Fluke of Atlanta, GA; her brother Mel (Carol) Post of Haverstraw, NY; seven grandchildren, Nathan and Ally Turtledove, Cody, A.J. and Jake Fluke, Madeleine and David Fluke.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Donna O’Brien for the care and companionship she provided to Francine.
Francine’s funeral service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Stanetsky Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St. Salem. Burial will follow in Cong. Shirat Hayam of the North Shore Cemetery; Beth El Section, 506 Lowell St., Peabody.
Shiva will be observed on Tuesday, June 26, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.at the home of Loring Fluke.
