Gail Ellen Tarmey

Gail Ellen (Karass) Tarmey, 70, of Salem, passed away on November 4th, 2024. Born in Boston, MA, on March 5th, 1954, Gail was the beloved daughter of the late Paul and Lillian Karass. She grew up in Bath, ME, attending Morse High School, and went on to earn her associate degree from Bryant & Stratton Business School. Gail was also a licensed real estate broker, having proudly earned her Real Estate Broker's License.

Gail dedicated over 25 years to the real estate industry, bringing her warmth and expertise to every role. She served as a Senior Housing Director at multiple assisted living homes and was also Team Leader at Keller Williams Realty in Beverly, MA. Gail was a respected sales agent, well-known among her clients and colleagues alike. Previously, she had built a successful career in sales. Outside of work, Gail enjoyed spending time at the beach, shopping, vacationing and creating cherished memories with her family and friends.

Gail is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Stephanie (Robert) Finnigan and Jamie (Luis) Hernandez, and her four grandchildren, Gabe, Jayce, Casey and Bennett, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her dear friend and former husband, John Tarmey. Gail is also survived by her siblings, Ed Karass, Marsha Emery, and Mark Karass, who reside in Maine.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Gail’s memory to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
