Grossman, Harriet Lee, 90, of Swampscott, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018. Beloved wife for 64 years of the late Morton Grossman. Devoted to her family, she is survived by her children, Ellen Harris and her husband Tom, Debbie Krasnow and her husband Todd and Adam Grossman. She leaves her grandchildren Matt Harris and his wife Claire, Elisha Harris and the late Jordan Harris, Rachel, Charlie and Eric Krasnow. Harriet was born on July 25, 1928 to Ethel and Charles Labovitz and she and her brother, the late Jack Labovitz, grew up in Lynn and Swampscott. She graduated from Simmons College in 1949 with a degree in Journalism and started her career working for Look Magazine in New York City. She moved to Boston when she married Morton and worked for The Harvard Business Review until she started having children. She was a fabulous cook, talented flower arranger and wonderful friend. She taught her children how to value friendship and how to act graciously as both host and guest. She wrote beautifully and volunteered in her community and synagogue writing newsletters and temple bulletins. Above all, she was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother and she will be deeply missed. A graveside service will be held at Temple Sinai Cemetery, 16 Buxton Road, Danvers, MA at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 29. Shiva following the service from 1:00 -5:00 pm at the family home.
