LEVINE, Miriam J. (Shapiro)- of Brighton, formerly of Chelsea, Winthrop and Peabody, entered into rest on November 2,2016 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Jacob Levine. Devoted mother of Phyllis Kornfeld of Cambridge, Irma Stratton of Winthrop and Gail Blumsack and husband Steven Blumsack of Portsmouth, NH and Stowe, VT. Cherished sister of the late Sam and Melvin Shapiro and Charlotte Shopnick.
Beloved grandmother of Robert Stratton, Jonathan Kornfeld and his wife Miranda Blankenship, Rebecca Kornfeld and Josh Gordon, Seth Blumsack and his wife Erin Blumsack, and Scott Blumsack and his wife Shannon Kemper. Great grandmother of Rhys, Ezra, Jake, Rumer, Eliza and Kai. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 11:45AM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA. A memorial observance will be held immediately following the interment at Golden Temple, 1651 Beacon St. Brookline, MA. In lieu of flowers donations in Miriam's name may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital.
