Pauline Barrell Chandler

CHANDLER, Pauline (Barrell)– of Peabody, formerly of Lynn; entered into rest November 15, 2015 at the age of 90. Beloved daughter of the late Ethel (Halperin) Barrell and Benjamin Barrell. Pauline was born and raised in Peabody, a graduate of Peabody High School and Burdett College. She moved to Lynn and resided there for 55 years before returning to Peabody in 2013, where she moved to the Aviv Center for Living. She spent a loving 65 years with her husband, the late Harvey Chandler. Pauline was an active member at Congregation Sons of Israel, where she served on the board for a number of years. She was also a lifelong member of Hadassah and the former chapter president. Pauline was the devoted mother of Robin and Robert Sutherland of Winchester and Melissa and Owen Folsom of Wrentham. Loving sister of Edward Barrell of Framingham, Edith Lovins of Swampscott, the late Ruth Barrell and the late Ida Barrell. Cherished grandmother of Sarah Sutherland, Olivia Sutherland, Emma Folsom and Jacob Folsom. Graveside services will be held at Pride of Lynn Cemetery, Monday, November 16, 2015 at 12:00 PM. A memorial observance will be held at the home of Robin Sutherland on Monday and Tuesday from 3-5 and 6-8:30 PM and will continue at the home of Melissa Folsom on Wednesday from 1-4 and 6:30-9PM and Thursday from 6:30-9PM including memorial services at 7:15 PM.
