BEVERLY – Mr. Robert L. Goldberg, 66 years, a lifelong resident of Beverly, entered into rest Thursday evening, August 7, 2014 at Beverly Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Michaela (Curley) Goldberg. Born in Beverly, son of the late Bernard and Barbara (Brandenburg) Goldberg. He was a graduate of the Bordentown Military Institute in New Jersey and attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
Robert had been the proprietor of Goldberg Energy Management for many years, and a principal at Goldberg Properties. In recent years he was a Mechanical Engineer and starting his independent consulting firm, Goldberg Engineering.
Mr. Goldberg was past president of the Beverly Rotary Club and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. He was a member of the Shriner’s and the Masons. Robert truly enjoyed keeping up with current events locally and worldwide.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brian Goldberg of Beverly, Andrew Goldberg and his companion, Kerri Beaulieu of Beverly,Timothy Goldberg and his wife Kate of Danvers, and John Russo and his wife Marilyn of Cumberland, RI; three loving brothers, Richard Goldberg of Ipswich, Steven Goldberg and his wife Mona of Beverly and William Goldberg & his wife Marlene Juedes of Salem; five cherished grandchildren, Sienna and Evan, Morgan and Tristan and Jake. He was also the dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Beverly Hospital for all the care and support they gave to Robert and his family.
Services at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Central Cemetery, Beverly. Memorial observance following the interment on Monday until 4 PM and continuing Monday evening from 6-8 PMand on Tuesday 11-2 PM at the home of Steven & Mona Goldberg.
