Agapito was born the oldest of five to Agapito Morales Sr. and Paula Hernandez- Suarez in AZ on September 7, 1953, then shortly after moving to the Bay Area in CA. He took on many jobs, first as a child as a field worker, in his teens and twenties he worked as a cook and baker before he settled into the field as an automotive mechanic technician in his thirties until his retirement.
Agapito and his former spouse had five children together whom they adored and love dearly.
All of his life Agapito had the love of learning and writing. He was a smart man that absorbed everything he had an interest in from astronomy, music, history, language, and his love of God.
He moved to Oregon in September of 2020 and spent his final years in Keizer Oregon at Avamere Retirement Community, where he met new friends that visited him until his passing. His passion for God led him to leading bible studies on Wednesdays and church services on Sundays at the facility, speaking the word and love of God to his peers.
Agapito’s proudest achievements in life were becoming a United States Marine and Grandfather. He loved talking to his grandchildren and teaching them to play the ukulele, going on drives with them, taking them to the playground, and enjoying special occasions with them. Making memories with his loved ones was his greatest enjoyment in his life.
Agapito is survived by his former spouse Margarita Morales; their five children Raul Morales, Armando Morales, Jaime Morales (Jim), Jesus Morales (Jess), and Mireya DeYoung; five grandchildren Tyler Morales, Logan Morales, Daniel Morales, Hayden DeYoung, and Olivia DeYoung; and his siblings Esperanza Morales, Connie Tellez and Antonio Morales along with many uncles, cousins and friends.
Agapito is preceded by his father Agapito Morales, Mother Paula Hernandez- Suarez, and Sister Christina Morales.
In his memory, donations can be made to his memorial fund to purchase a grove of trees in the Oregon forest.
