Arlene Leimomi Brixius

Momi was born in Ho'olehua, Moloka'i, Hawaii on June 12, 1934 to John Kiamoku Kaimikaua, Jr. and Hannah Sylva (Freeman) Kaimikaua. She graduated from Moloka'i High School. Arlene married Jerry Brixius on March 17, 1971.

She worked as an administrative assistant for the federal government for more than 20-years. Arlene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a passion for reading, her family, and sharing love with all around her.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Brixius; their daughter, Michele Brixius; her sister, Linda Kaimikaua; and other family members: Heidi Ha'o, Kukuna Pacheco, Kim Saifoloi, Kevin Kaimikaua, Wil Kaimikaua, Cheryl Borges, Sherrie Kunishige, and Johnelle Kaimikaua. Arlene was preceded in death by her siblings, Wilbert Kaimikaua, John Kaimikaua III; and other family members: John Kaimikaua IV, Gaylene Kaimikaua, and Michael Larinaga.

A viewing for Arlene will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2530 Boone Rd SE, Salem, OR 97306, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
