Christopher "Tof" James Pierce

Chris was born June 28, 1974 in Eugene, Oregon to Robert and Joyce Pierce. The family moved to Salem in 1984. Chris attended Hayesville Elementary, Waldo Middle School, and McKay High School, graduating in 1992. He later earned an AAS in Welding Fabrication from Chemeketa Community College.

Chris was very involved with Boy Scouts and worked many summers at Camp Pioneer. He was proud to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout in 1993

.

Chris began dating the love of his life, Nancy LeMaster, in 1994. They married in 2003. Their son, Cyrus, was born in 2012.

Chris was an avid camper and outdoorsman, as well as an accomplished artist and chef. He loved music, board games, and everything Tiki. His favorite activity was spending time with his family, especially taking Cyrus on "adventures."

Chris was a beloved father, husband, son, and friend. He is survived by his wife Nancy, son Cyrus, mother Joyce Pierce, and grandmother Mildred Webb, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and many, many friends. 

A celebration of life will be held when it is safe to gather, date and time TBA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in his honor to the art program at McKay High School.
