Dawn Maureen (Taylor) Bernard, age 84, of Salem, OR, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 1, 2026. She was born September 18, 1941, in York, PA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, B. Wayne Bernard. She is survived by their five children, Bryce (Julie) Bernard, Greg (Connie) Bernard, Jenny (Dan) Wyckoff, Chris (Tami) Bernard, and Rhonda Bernard; 15 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, L. Paul (Ginny) Bernard.
She lived a life serving the Lord wherever he led the family, from west coast to the midwest and back the west coast again. She enjoyed playing and watching sports, coaching soccer teams, chaperoning band competitions, teaching VBS and Sunday school, taking in animals (of all kinds), and serving in many different capacities at church. She was a long-time member of Salem First Baptist Church. Because of God’s tender mercy and grace, she lived a life of faithfulness to her family and leaves a legacy and example for generations to come.
A private family service is planned for March 15, 2026.
