Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dena; and his sister Marcella Janda.
He is survived by his five children Ed III, Jim, Dory, Dana, and Diane; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; Sharon his wife of 34 years and her three children Mike, Cam, and Chris; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Ed attended Austin high school and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1959 and moved to Salem, OR in 1962 to establish his dental practice. Ed loved traveling, cooking, and outdoor activity.
Ed will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery after a private ceremony.
