

Floyd proudly served his Country as a member of the United States Army, where he worked as a Legal Clerk at Fort Lewis, Washington, and participated in Operation Desert Storm. He retired from the military when his tour was up, having been affected by exposure to hazardous conditions during his service. His dedication to his country was a source of immense pride. Upon retirement from the the United States Army, he then started working for the Oregon State Department of corrections at Oregon State Correctional Institution (OSCI) on March 1996 and he resigned in January 1999, due to the illnesses caused by the exposure to the hazardous conditions during Operation Desert Storm. He was then placed on full military disability.
Floyd is survived by his three sons: Kenneth (Ashley) Wilson, David (Erica) Wilson, and Christopher Wilson;as well as grandchildren Duncan, Logan, Mackenzie and Aidan. He is also survived by his siblings: Tommy Wilson of Salem, Troy (Kathy) Wilson of Salem, and Tina (Lenny) Wold of Salem. Floyd also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory forever.
In addition to his military career, Flotd's life was enriched by the love of his family and the bonds he shared with those close to him. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched.
