After Janet came to Oregon where she married C. Ralph Voris on June 29, 1947. She graduated from Oregon State University in 1948 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Technology. Together they had three children; Diana, Craig and Lorna. The family moved to Salem in 1955.
She was a member of Christian Center Prime Timers and Women's Aglow Fellowship. She was a Salem Hospital volunteer for 20 years. Janet was a country gospel singer with guitarist and friend, Fran Dempsey, performing at senior groups, retirement homes, and nursing homes throughout the Salem area for 20-years. She enjoyed being a Mall Walker at Lancaster Mall for 20-years as well.
Jan was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her brother Allen, her mother Ethel, and her grandson Don Sponable.
She is survived by her three children: Diana (Dean) Sponable, Craig (Carolynn) Voris, and Lorna (Bob)Burnell; her Grandchildren: Susan, David, Jessie, Jasmine, Elijah, Emily, and Sarah; Great Grandchildren:
Anna, Madelyn, Taylor, Claire, Zachery, Forrest, Rio, Devon, Ashley, Timmy, Kyle, Jacob, Rachel, Griffin, and Olivia; and two great-great-grandchildren.
