If everyone were a little more like Lorrie, the world would be a better place. Lorrie Ann Mendenhall-Nuxoll, partner, sister, daughter and friend passed away on July 1st, 2015. Lorrie was born to Stanley and Eileen on October 28th, 1968, in McMinnville, Oregon, the fourth of six children.
Lorrie grew up in the small town of Dixonville in Southern Oregon. She graduated from Sutherlin High School in 1987. Through an online website she connected with the woman who became the love of her life and her soul mate Trish Nuxoll. The couple clicked from the start beginning their relationship in 2001. They were married in Sublimity, Oregon on May 27th, 2006, where Lorrie was welcomed into the Nuxoll family with open arms. Trish converted Lorrie into a diehard Seahawks fan. The two spent many happy years together and relied on each other for love and support.
Lorrie was a fighter who overcame many obstacles in her life. She battled valiantly and survived a bout of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in her 20's. Unfortunately that was only the beginning of her health struggles. But through it all, Lorrie was always concerned with the wellbeing of others. She always put others first. Her caring nature didn't just extend to her fellow man. To describe her as an animal lover is an understatement. She cared for many animals throughout her life and especially loved her cats. Besides caring for her animals, she also loved to garden and was especially fond of yellow roses. She cared deeply about our planet and was very environmentally conscious. She did not abuse or waste anything she was given and was a thrifty person who valued this world and the people on it.
She will be missed dearly by her loving partner, Trish, her siblings, Randy, Gary and wife Kim, Sherrie and husband Ron, Lisa (her twin sister with whom she shared an other worldly bond) and husband Belen, Liz and husband Rick, "mother"-in-law Linda Stubenrauch and husband Bob, 12 nieces and nephews, 17 grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Eileen Mendenhall and father-in-law, Ed Nuxoll.
