Marcella G. 'Sally" Reynolds

December 29, 1914 - February 28, 2016

Sally was born in Cameron, Texas on December 29, 1914. At the age of 8, she moved with her family to Oregon and stayed here until her death on February 28, 2016. She married Russell Gardner and together they had 2 sons, John A. and Don R. They divorced in 1952. For a short while Sally and son Don lived in Vancouver, Washington.

She met and married Charles Edward Reynolds while living and working in The Dalles. They moved to Salem where Ed studied and became a licensed Realtor and then dealer at a Service Station at which time Sally became his bookkeeper until he retired. They traveled the United States in a roomy 5th wheel until that was no longer practical. Sally was a member of the Eastern Star and belonged to a Ladies Canasta Card Club. Her greatest achievement was being a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma.

Sally was a first class waitress all her life, working in “up scale” restaurants and lastly in Meier & Franks dining room where her expertise saw her working many of Gerry Frank’s private parties in his own home.

She was an excellent cook – sharing that skill at many a family gatherings. She was loyal and steadfast in her love for all her family and extended families. We will all miss her dearly, until we meet again.

Preceded in death by parents Anton and Elizabeth (Michalick) Krupicka; husband Charles Edward Reynold; siblings: Mary, Della, Toni, Frank and Jerry; son John Gardner; Grandson Gordon Gardner.

Survived by son Don (Charlene) Gardner; daughter-in-law Alta Gardner; Step-daugther Ann (Lew) Chatham; Grandsons John J. (Chris) Gardner, Brian Gardner; Granddaughter Marci (Jack) Taylor; Step-Grandsons: Greg Chatham, Sean Chatham, Jeff Chatham, Christian Beedle and Aaron (Melissa) Beedle; Step-Granddaughter Melissa (Mike) Konomos; Seven Great Grand Children and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, 2:00 p.m March 19, 2016 at Howell Edwards Doerksen Funeral Chapel.
