Salem ~ Mary Virginia Cooley passed away at Salem Hospital on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the age of 89. Mary was born October 21, 1921 in Boise, Idaho to Earl and Ethel Hatfield. After moving to Oregon, she graduated from Salem High School in 1939. Mary married Orval D. Cooley in January, 1942 in Salem. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Cooley, and daughter Maureen D. Cooley. She is survived by son Michael Cooley of Sun Lakes, AZ; and daughters Jolene Bevill and Melinda Forest, both of Vancouver, WA.
Private services will be held. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Home. Contributions in her memory may be made to Union Gospel Mission of Salem, Oregon.
