Another Minto  friend of Mike's... He was a "regular," providing treats for dogs, sometimes  donut holes for humans, and always great stories, jokes, and a wonderful laugh / chuckle.  It was hard to see him sick, but he made the tremendous  effort to be there - for Koda and his doggy friends. We miss him so much! Kisses to Koda!

I am one of Mike and Susan's neighbors.  We both moved into our respective homes about the same time (around 30 years ago!).  I really can't put into words what a truly great guy Mike was.  Caring, kind, great sense of humor.  And, he always listened to you as if you and whatever you had to say were the most important things in his life at that moment.  Always enjoyed seeing Mike walking his various BIG dogs  around the neighborhood (Mike had at least three of them in the time I knew him).  Mike always had time to stop and chat for a bit during these walks, even though I'm pretty sure he had to do that with many other neighbors before he finally made his circuit and got home.  Wow, I am really really going miss you Mike.  Take care Susan and Family.

Mike was one of a kind. Like so many, we met him at the dog park and became friends quickly. He took great interest in others and cared about their struggles, even when he was facing his own. He was funny (if you like bad dad jokes:), generous, and kind. Mike was also the highlight for our dogs at the park, and they would race to greet him…they clearly have good taste in humans.

 We have moved away but will always remember Mike and Koda and all of the people he greeted by name at the dog park.

Dear Butler family,

Mike was a spectacular neighbor. I'll miss seeing him walking his big dog in the early mornings or coming home from somebody's house after a Beavers game.  He'd always greet me with the biggest, warmest smile.  

But I think most of all, I'll miss him being outside on Halloween night, greeting the hundreds and hundreds of kids that come through our street.  The first year we moved in, I asked him if a lot of kids came through this place, he smirked and said "Just be ready and buy a lot of candy."  He wasn't wrong, and I know he helped make the night for all them kiddos, each and every year.  

Between the two of us, I like to think we put on the best show in all of Sunnyslope.

I wish life was fair. Mike was a rare person of integrity, kindness, and caring. I know so many people are going to miss his great humor and friendship. Mike sure was one of a kind. 
Will miss you, brother. 

We met Mike at the Minto Brown dog park.  He always remembered our names and always introduced us to new people.  What a great guy. Loved to tell Jokes and had a great laugh. Truly will be missed.  Life was too short for him.   I hope someone takes good care of his dog Koda, he truly loved him and his daughters of course and the Beavers 😉 Rest in Peace
