

She was born in her family’s farm home near Lisbon, North Dakota, on April 27, 1914. She attended grade school and high school, graduating in 1932, and graduated from nurses training in Lisbon in 1937. She moved with her entire family to Hood River, Oregon, in September of that year. In 1939 Ollie and Robert William Goin were married in White Salmon, Washington. They continued to live in Hood River, where she was a nurse, until they moved to Portland in 1941. On April 27, 1944, Ollie gave birth to their daughter, and on April 27, 1946, she gave birth to their son. Ollie and her family lived in Portland where Bob passed away in June, 1968. Soon after, she moved to King City near Tigard, Oregon.
In 1980 Ollie married Clifford Weisenhaus, a childhood playmate who lived on a neighboring farm in North Dakota when she was young. Ollie and Cliff moved to Capital Manor in 1996. The two of them had 22 happy years together before Cliff passed away in 2002.
Ollie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Mae Chambers and son-in-law Charles B. Chambers, of Portland; her son Robert Dale Goin and daughter-in-law Mary A. Goin, of Albany, Oregon; brother Ellis (Pete) Wilson Tanner of Hood River, Oregon; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Robert William Goin, husband Clifford Weisenhaus, grandson Jerome Thomas Goin, her parents, and three brothers.
Memorial services will be at Capital Manor on Aug. 14, at 3:00PM and at Idlewilde Cemetery in Hood River on August 18, at 11:00AM. Interment will be at Idlewilde. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers remembrances be contributed to the United Methodist Women's Relief Fund or Capital Manor Foundation.
