He was born in Oklahoma and spent most of his life in Idaho and California, before moving to Keizer, Oregon.
Bobby proudly served his country in the Vietnam War in the 101st First Airborne Ranger and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Bobby enjoyed horses, farming, BBQ, haunted houses and old classic cars. Most of his life was spent doing farming and agriculture. He also made the world's best fried chicken.
He was a simple man with simple means. He loved his family and friends and got along with almost everyone.He was always quick to crack a smile and tell a joke or two. His favorites were Roy Rogers, Tex Ritter, and John Wayne.
Bobby is preceded in death by this daughter Mandy Kaye Meeks.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeremy Meeks and Phillip Sturgill JR. and by one daughter, Patti Sturgill. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Jayden, Maddison, Lennon, and Skyler.
