

Thomas was born on February 18, 1920 in North Howell, Oregon and was the son of Anton and Eva (Plenart) Pfau. He grew up on the family farm and attended Parkersville School. He later bought the family farm operating it for 86 years. He grew onions, berries, wheat and beans and raised dairy cows.
On February 11, 1960 he married Sylvia Hall at the First Baptist Church in Salem, where they were long time members. They later became members of Salem Evangelical Church.
Thomas was a hard worker who loved people. He was friendly, loved telling stories and had a contagious smile. He will be truly missed by all who Knew and loved him.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Sylvia, children Connie Morris, Patricia Wooten, Wendy Sasaki, Becky Rhoads, Melinda Deffenbaugh, Toni Pfau and Dana Goulart and brother, Paul Pfau along with 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 1-5 pm at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen. A public memorial service will be held on January 5, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Salem Evangelical Church. Private interment will be at Bethany Cemetery. Contributions may be made in memory of Thomas to Medical Missions International. Arrangements by Howell, Edwards, Doerksen.
