Tracy lost her 8 year battle with cancer August 24th at the age of 49. She was born in Albany, Oregon to Butch and Lynda Fryman January 18th, 1964. She grew up in Salem, and graduated from North Salem High School. In high school she played soccer and was on the drill team, "The Vikettes". While attending school she worked at The Enchanted Forest.
After high school she got married and had a daughter named Tara. Her most important job was raising Tara and her step-daughter Kristina Granno. Tracy later worked at Turtle Ridge Wildlife Center taking care of injured or abandoned animals. She would often bring home newborn animals, feed, medicate and nurse them back to health. She brought home baby squirrels, raccoons, ducks and even opossums. She loved working with and caring for animals.
Tracy was well known for her beautiful red hair and spunky personality. The love of Tracy’s life was her only child, Tara Granno. On July 3rd, 2003 Tracy’s life would be changed forever. Tara had been in an fatal automobile accident on the Salem Parkway. Tracy’s joy for life and her spunkiness diminished greatly. Shortly afterwards, Tracy moved to California where she lived on acreage with a few animals. She thought the move would help her somehow cope with the loss of her daughter. After being diagnosed with cancer, she moved back to Salem to be closer to her family. Tragedy struck again in 2009 when her father, Butch Fryman, passed away from cancer as Tracy was battling cancer herself. Tracy’s last 10 years of her life were filled with sadness, but the first 40 years Tracy was full of joy and happiness.
The family would like to thank Willamette Valley Hospice for their help and support in trying to make Tracy’s life comfortable at the end. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Turtle Ridge Wildlife Center. Tracy is preceded in death by her father and daughter. She is survived by her mother, Lynda Fryman, brothers Brad (Christine) Fryman, Jim Fryman, sister Lori and step-daughter Kristina Granno. She loved her many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.
