Wesley Armond Carr passed away in Salem, Oregon at the age of 100 years on February 23, 2025. He was born in Orange, New Jersey on October 27,1924 to Ernest and Dulcinea Carr. He grew up in Kenmore, New York. After attending college in Iowa, he moved to Oregon in 1947 to join his parents. He worked for the State of Oregon Highway Department. and Water Resources Department until retiring in 1984.
Wesley met Meredith in August 6, 1950 and they were married on August 3, 1951. By 1955 the couple had moved to Salem, Oregon, and had two children, Daniel and Judy. Wesley's interests were being an Assistant Boy Scout Master. He enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, rockhounding, and camping.
Wes and Meredith enjoyed traveling on many cruises to Alaska, through the Panama Canal to Puerto Rico, and mystery tours. He was an avid reader.
Wes was a Charter Member of Morningside United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir for over 40 years. He was also an active member of the South Salem Seniors.
Wes is survived by his two children Daniel (Suzanne) and Judith (Steve), 4 grand children and 4 great grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held April 12th at 1pm at Morningside United Methodist Chruch, 3674 12th St. SE, Salem, OR 97302.
