William G. Morse was born January 8, 1930 to Mary Quintila Shirley Morse and William Frances Morse, Sr, in Newberg, OR. Bill died of aggressive leukemia and a weak heart on August 19, 2013 in Turner, OR.
When he was in High School he encouraged his parents to adopt a girl who needed a home, and Pat Ricci became his beloved sister. She survives him and resides with her husband Charles Ricci in Washington State.
Bill graduated from Tillamook High School and attended Northwest Christian College in Eugene, OR. Bill served in the ministry at churches all over the State of Oregon, on the Coast and in the Portland area.
In May 1983, Bill married Willa Spencer and they lived at Winema, OR above the church camp Bill’s father had founded. They cared for Bill’s mother after William Morse, Sr., passed away. After Mary Morse died they lived in Beaver, OR until Willa passed away in 2003.
Bill became a resident at Turner Retirement Homes, Turner, OR, in 2003 and reacquainted himself with many old friends there. His musical abilities were put to good use playing for chapel and church services whenever there was a need. The past few years his greatest enjoyment was riding his 3-wheel bike around Turner, checking up on all the neighborhood kitty cats.
