6/24/1932 – 4/11/2018
Our sweet loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away April 11, 2018. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. Beverely Jo was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was raised in the Millcreek area. She learned responsibility at a young age, as she helped out with house work and cooking while her mother worked. She graduated from Granite High School. She married Richard Allen Grider Nov. 10, 1952 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Together they raised four children in Holladay, UT. She loved being a housewife and a stay at home mother. She had an unwavering faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in countless positions including young women, primary, relief society, work in the singles ward along side Dad, and as a missionary and host at the LDS Tabernacle and Conference Center. She always was serving others delivering homemade goodies to brighten their day. Her hobby was cooking and everyone loved it. Dinner wasn’t complete without dessert, and Mom was the best pie baker ever. She made our home a warm welcoming place to all that visited. Mom loved being with people and cared about everyone. She has so many friends from her youth and throughout her life. She loved together time with family and friends, whether it was a family gathering, annual snow skiing trips, water skiing at Bear Lake or Powell, Star Valley cabin trips, St. George trips, or Dinner Club. Her children knew she loved them and learned about being kind by her example. She was always happy and smiling. She will be missed.
