Craig Jesse Nelson

Craig passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 21. He was born on December 14, 1957 to Richard David Nelson and Connie Jean Anderson in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Jill Anna Lykins in the Salt Lake Temple on August 27, 1980. He had an abiding faith and hope in the atonement of Jesus Christ and in the eternal nature of families.

He is survived by his wife, Jill; children Katie (Brandon) Gage, Creighton (Nicole), Scott (Becky), Mark (Alyssa), Andrew, Christian (Jessica), and Emily Nelson;10 grandchildren; mother, Connie Nelson; brothers David and Gary (Louise) Nelson; sisters Cathy (Bradley) Nordgren and Janet (James) Howell; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard David Nelson, and his sister, Diana Lyn Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3rd 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fortuna LDS chapel: 4407 S Fortuna Way, Salt Lake City Utah. Visitations will be held Sunday, October 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church and on October 3rd from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church prior to services. A memorial service will be held in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday, October 9th at the LDS church on Harrison Street: 6820 South 164th Avenue. Visitations will be at 5:30 p.m. followed by the service at 6:30. Interment will be at the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah.
