Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully and gracefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on January 30, 2021 in Holiday, Utah. Born November 30,1934 in Phoenix, AZ to parents James C. Magana and Iva M. Magana. Married to Richard E. Brown, November 26,1955. She is survived by her husband and their three children: Richard W. Brown, Ivy A. Brown, Jason C. Brown, and three loving grandchildren: Richard J. Brown, Chase J. Brown and Jackson J. Woolley. Darlene is survived by her brother David Magana and preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jimalene Warath.
Darlene was gracious with everyone she met making each person feel special and valued. She was curious about world cultures and loved to travel. Darlene traveled the world without hesitation and with an adventurous soul. Camping or a 5 star hotel, she did it with class, grace, and humor. During the 1960’s she became a highly successful sales executive for a clothing company where she broke boundaries and blazed a trail for all women. As a team with her husband, Richard, they established and developed a successful real estate company. They were the original real estate gurus. As the matriarch, Darlene had great pride in her family and work. Through love, dedication, and hard work, she created a legacy that benefits and inspires those of us who were fortunate to know her.
A private memorial will be held with her family after cremation.
