Denford D Finke

Denford Dale Finke, loving husband, devoted father, and adventurous grandpa “flew West” suddenly on Saturday, August 31, 2019. His passion and livelihood took him to the skies to shape the airline industry by his exemplary work ethic, his consistent desire to learn and improve in flight, and his love and respect for co-workers and passengers alike. Denny flew as a First Officer and Captain for Frontier Airlines, and a Captain for Continental Airlines during the course of his 31 year career as a pilot. He was preceded in death by his parents Emerson and Audre Finke of Rochester Minnesota. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sharon Lea Finke (Gerth), sons, Kevin D. Finke (Sonja), and Mark D. Finke (Buffie), and daughter Tara Lea Crowley (Jamie), grandchildren Chad, Emma, Alec, and Sammi, as well as countless others who’s lives were impacted by his gentle manner. Denny enjoyed gardening, hiking, biking, skiing, and swimming. A Memorial Service was held on September 4th for family and friends to celebrate having him in their lives.
