G. Eileen Capps

Georgia Eileen Capps (Depew) after 81 years has returned home to our Heavenly Father on March 16, 2014. She was born on October 6, 1932, in Jerome Idaho. She then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and attended a school for tailoring where she met and married Marvin E. Capps on May 25, 1958 in Jerome, Idaho. After they were married they lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent 34 years together. Eileen is survived by her daughter Valerie (David) Thornton, son Lyle Capps and daughter Stacy Capps. Stepparent Mariam Depew, sisters Charlotte R. Jorgensen and Susan Depew and Brother Jay Depew, also eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents Jewell and J. Frank Depew, in-laws Lucille & Marvin Capps, son in-law Dennis Gull, three sisters Barbara Depew, Linda Smith and Carol Thomas. Her passions where volunteer work with The Community Action, Boy Scouts of America and The First Presbyterian Church. She loved sewing and doing crafts for family and friends. Funeral Services will be Saturday March 22, 2014 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 Highland Dr. at11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn and also 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
