Herb Shipman

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Shipman; a former wife, Amanda Chilton; two sons Geoff Shipman (Virginia) and Russell Shipman; three stepsons Bob (Jeanine) Sutton, Rick (Michelle) Sutton, and Scott Sutton; two brothers Jerry Shipman (Diane) and Dave Canary (Bonnie); and brother-in-law Bob Dobson.

He is also survived by his grandchildren are Lindsey, Van, Zakk, and Noah Sutton; Tyler and Paxton Sutton; Denis, Daniel, and Dana Shipman; and a great-grandson Kade Sutton.

Herb graduated from Linfield College in Physics and Psychology. He was an exceptional baritone and enjoyed singing in choruses and the First Congregational Church choir. He also loved the outdoors.

Funeral services will be Thursday March 14, 2013 at 11AM at First Congregational Church. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. The interment will be at Mt. Olivet.

The family would like to give a special thanks to granddaughter Lindsey for her frequent visits and support and the staff at Woodland Park Advanced Care Unit who made Herb’s final months more comfortable.
