Jonathon Douglas Davis Blackhurst

He was born January 21, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hyrum Mitchell and Amy Davis Blackhurst. He married Colleen Ida Murphy in the Logan LDS Temple and later divorced. He served in the Army and was stationed in Munich, Germany. He had many wonderful memories of his time spent there. He graduated from the University of Utah (and did not care for B.Y.Wooo).

He loved life and was a gentleman always, even when he found himself back at the hospital again. He loved music, dancing, and sports. He loved working at Wasatch Lawn and the relationships he made while working there. No matter how sick he was, he was sure he was going back to work. He loved to joke and laugh with friends.

Jon is survived by his children Laurie (David) Bird, Michelle and Doug (Diane); sister Janet (Keith) Romney, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers: Richard, Stan, Burton and Steven.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive, where friends may call from 9:00 until 10:45 AM prior to the services. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
