Louise Crane

Feb 4, 1923 – March 31 – 2010

Mom passed away peacefully after a good life. She was born in Wahoo, Nebraska to Louis and Goldie Bader. After her mother’s death she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, William and Mabel Bowen of SLC. She attended St. Mary’s of the Wasatch School for Girls and Holy Cross Nursing School. She married Harold S. Crane, December 20, 1943 and spent many years enjoying the associations of the Utah State Fish & Game Dept. Dad died January 6, 1966 and mom then became active in Legal Secretaries Organization, Daughters of the Nile, and Eastern Star. She is a Past Queen of Lybia Temple #32 and a Past Matron of Eastern Star Mizpah Chapter #5. Mom worked in various agencies while employed by the State of Utah for 30 years. She is survived by her three children, Cheryl McRae, Steve Crane, and Cherie (Steve) Heaps, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, April 6, at 12:00 noon at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Funeral Directors are Evans & Early Mortuary. The family would like to thank the staff of Atria of Sandy and Sunbrook Hospice for the loving care and kindness of our mother.
