Lynnett was born on October 12, 1954 to Lynn H. Preston and Effie Ernestine Boyce Preston in Salt Lake City, Utah. She loved to make others smile and was famous for her outgoing personality. Lynnett was loved by all those that met her. She was never too busy to help someone in need, and she always tried her hardest in whatever she did. She showed others that life isn’t just about work, it’s about working hard but having fun in the process. One example of this is when she let us kids play with the gigantic rubber band ball that she kept at her desk. We remember that she was always scouring for new rubber bands to add to the ball. When it got too big to fit rubber bands she linked them together in chains so wrap around the ball. She also taught us to give to others whenever we could. Lynnett worked hard in the PTA planning events like carnivals and fundraisers. Lynnett was known for her many amazing crafting abilities, and many people wanted to have some of her blankets. Some of the best moments of her life were when she saw two of her children married. Lynnett was very honored to have served a faithful mission for the LDS church in the Phillipines, Cebu mission from 1976-1978. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6-8PM at the Hunter 23rd ward house, 3665 So. 6000 W.
