Our wonderful free-spirit is set free…Dean had knee surgery on Tuesday, and then had undetermined complications which resulted in his death. He died, sober for years, surrounded by those he loved.
Dean was born March 29, 1947 to “Snips” and Frances Parsons. He was proud to have attended Highland High School where he met many of his life-long friends in the north parking lot. He spent most of his life working for the railroad as an engineer. Dean loved life and his many friends. He was a loyal, loving man, active in AA and with a passion for hunting, racing and watching t.v.
Big Papa loved every one of his grandchildren: Brady Sillman, Zachary Parsons, Blair Sillman, Lexi VanLith, Bobby Parsons, Alvin Reed, Frances & Ruben Reed, Brooklyn Barker, Izzy Parsons, and baby Emma Parsons due in June.
Dean is preceded in death by his parents Floyd “Snips” and Frances Parsons and his brother (in-law) “Uncle” Ed Krause. He is survived by his wife JW Love-Parsons, and his children “#1” Naydean (Rex) Reed, “#2” Nick Parsons, “#3” Maddie (Bruce) Barker, “#4” Tony (Susan) Parsons. He also gathered other children along the way Tony & Kimm Sillman, Gavin Anderson & Nicole Reed.
