Patricia Wessel

Patricia Grimme Wessel, 84, died December 5, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a long illness. She was born August 4, 1930 in Irvington, NJ to August and Elizabeth Grimme. She graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ. She married Thomas Wessel in 1950 in Maplewood, NJ. Patricia worked at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ for more than twenty-five years, retiring as the Director of Conferences and Special Events. Patricia enjoyed reading, traveling and music. She is survived by her daughter Christine Kapsa, son James Wessel, both of Salt Lake City and her sister Constance (William) Lyons of Sterling, VA. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, December 10th, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service. Patricia’s family extends special thanks to the staff at Avenues Courtyard Assisted Living for all their kindness.
