Paul “Spencer” Moyes passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born May 30, 1945 to Paul and Jennie Moyes. He attended Highland High school, SLC, class of 63’ and Northrop Institute of Technology in Inglewood CA. He married his high school sweetheart Elva Keddington on June 24, 1965 and together they raised three wonderful children. He was also the proud papa of two beautiful grandchildren who kept his spirits high and his heart happy throughout the last years of his life. He was employed at Hill AFB for 27 years and then went on to a new career as a journeyman electrician. He was an all-around handyman who could help anyone with anything and was always willing to do what he could to help family, friends and neighbors. He was a member of the LDS Church and was an active participant in the scouting program. He was also a member of the EAA and absolutely loved anything and everything that had to do with airplanes and flying. He was an avid University of Utah fan and participated in tailgating through the Crimson Club for over 25 years.
Spencer had an enormous heart and friendly demeanor and was always willing to serve others in a pursuit of friendship and could literally make friends anywhere he went. He will be missed by his family, close friends, and a multitude of others who he touched through the kindness he showed throughout his life. We thank him for the memories and all of the love he shared with us.
