Ada Mae Young

Ada graduated from Lakeview High School and attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene where she met her husband of 53 years. Ada and Allen founded Allen Young Office Machines in 1952 where they worked together for many years. Her later years were spent on their ranch in Comanche, Texas. Ada was a member of First Baptist Church of San Angelo. She was also a member of the Ziphron Temple Daughters of the Nile and a 50 year member of Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Allen Young; her son Allen Young, Jr.; and two brothers.

Ada is survived by her son, Burk Young and his wife, Kay; her granddaughters, Robin Young Tijerina and her husband, Tom, Heather Young, Rachel Young Ramirez and her husband, Scott, and Kristy McGaughey; 7 great grandchildren, Trey, Tyler and Tate Tijerina, Max, Maggie and Miles Ramirez, and Maya Safarik; brother, J.D. Burk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 25th at 10:00 am in the Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Shriners Children’s Hospitals would be Ada’s choice for memorial donations.
