

Alfred C. Bermea, Sr., beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, entered the heavenly gates on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012. He was surrounded by his family. He was born in Brady, Texas on September 16, 1942 to Fernando Sr. and Christina Bermea. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Central High School in 1961.
He leaves behind his loving wife Rosa G. Bermea of 45 years of marriage and his pride and joy, his sons and grandchildren.
He was a devoted Catholic. He was never a stranger to anyone. He was always there to help those in need.
He was employed by TXDot for 29 years and always took pride in his work. He retired in August 2003. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time at his farm in the country raising goats and planting wheat. He also had a hobby for woodwork.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fernando Bermea, Sr. and Christina C. Bermea and a brother Ernest Bermea. He is survived by his wife Rosa G. Bermea; sons Alfred G. Bermea, Jr. (wife Julie), Albert Bermea (wife Belinda), Robert Bermea and Crystal Delgado; grandchildren Jayleen and Julaina Bermea, Erica Rae, Christan and Christina Bermea, Jessica, Colby, and McKinzi Bermea; also his sister Olga; brothers Rogelio and Fernando Bermea, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Flores, Alex Valles, Rey Reyes, Joe Chappa, Mario Ramirez and Larry Rodriguez.
Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. David Herrera officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Danbert, Dr. Michael Hambrick and Dr. Cortney Jones and staff of Odyssey Hospice. We especially thank our cousin Lydia and Lynn Valles for their support in our time of need.
