

Rae was born February 3, 1921. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her brother, and a granddaughter. Left to mourn the loss of her love and laughter are her sister Judy Murray of San Angelo, her three sons, John Belmont, and wife Linda of San Angelo, Allie Belmont and wife Mona of Georgetown, Steven Belmont of Austin, and her daughter Joyce Shelton and husband George of San Angelo. She is also survived by grandchildren, Christi Belmont, Brian Belmont, Rikki Wallace and husband Richard, Tim Carr and wife Haley, Katie Shelton, Dub Shelton and wife Debbie, Dane Shelton, Blaine Shelton and wife Jenny, along with six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Rae was a loyal friend, a devout Christian, an avid gardener, and more than anything else, a loving mother. She was fierce in her love for her family and literally devoted her entire life to her four children.
Family visitation will be at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 6-8PM on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Funeral mass will be on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 1PM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with burial to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratefulness to Dr. Peter Chang, Hospice of San Angelo, and the entire staff of Regency House. Your care and love for our mom did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. She loved you all.
