

Billye G. Nowell-Hill was born October 30th, 1923 in Love County, Oklahoma to Edgar L. & Mary L. Roberson. Proceeded in death by her parents, a sister Bobbye Dorsett and one brother Batson Roberson and her husband James Hill.
She graduated from Muenster High School and attended court reporting school in Abilene, TX. She was active in sports, one act plays as well as singing at many functions and on the radio.
She and her first husband, J.D. Nowell moved to San Angelo in 1968 and owned San Angelo Lincoln Mercury and later formed Big State Enterprises.
Her love for her family was first and foremost in her life, but she had many cherished friends who contributed so much to her life.
She was always active in the community, serving eight years in the Concho Cadre and was involved in the Christmas in April program. She served and held all the offices in the VFW auxiliary and was an active supporter of the Outlaw and Saints hockey booster club. She was an avid fan, sponsoring a member of the team each year.
She leaves behind a son Doug Nowell and wife Peggy, one daughter Margo Johnson; also grandsons Scott and Jeffrey Nowell, J. Dean Moody and wife Micehlle, Darren Moody and wife Heather; one granddaughter, Briget McAnich and husband Scotty. She also leaves six great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Hope Guzman for her love and care throughout her illness.
There will be a memorial held on September 1st from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the club house in Century Park.
