Brandon Leigh Block

Brandon Leigh Block, 31, left this world to join his Heavenly Father on July 28, 2013, doing what he did best – protecting others. The visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 P.M., Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Johnson’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 10, 2013, at First Christian Church 29 N. Oakes San Angelo with the Reverend Ben G. Hubert officiating. Burial will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Wall, Texas.

Brandon was born December 29, 1981 to Dennis and Joy Block. Because of his amazing personality, loyalty, and kindness to others Brandon befriended many. After graduating Wall High School in 2000 he worked hard to serve others and drove for Warren Cat. Brandon had a deep love of building jeeps for rock crawling and mudding. In 2009 he married his best friend and wife; he adored Susan. On October 10, 2010, they brought their pride and joy into this world, Sutton. Brandon was the proudest father and the most loving wonderful man that anyone could meet.

He is survived by his loving wife and wonderful son, Sutton David Wayne; his parents, Dennis and Joy Block; brother, Justin Block and wife Lessa; his paternal grandmother, Virgin Ann Block; nephew, Bryson and niece, Kelsey; father-in-law, Dale Smith and mother-in-law, Nancy Smith; brother-in-law, David Smith; and best friend Jaimie Gunyon; aunt and uncles, June and Wilbert Jost, Judy and Stanley Book, Herb and Diane Schwertner, Richard and Jodelle Block, Carl and Barbara Block, Carol and Larry Upshaw, and numerous cousins and friends who dearly loved him.

Pallbearers will be Jaimie Gunyon, John Kaczyk, Jared Elkins, Simon Holik, Brandon Halfmann, Shane Bullock, David Smith, and Shawn Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the family, Paint Rock Bank, Sundown Bank, and First State Bank of Paint Rock.
