Carl Dewey Wilson

Carl Wilson, 60, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014. He was born on February 20, 1954 in Ft. Davis, Texas to Gerald and Charlene Williams Wilson. He attended and graduated from Ft. Stockton High School. Carl married Susan on May 3rd, 2001 in Hawaii. They were married 13 years. Carl was a very talented photographer and artist. He loved Jesus and wanted everyone to have a personal relationship with his savior and friend Jesus Christ.

Carl will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a truly awesome person with a compassionate personality who never missed a chance to have a good laugh. He was always happy and full of joy.

Carl was preceded in death by his father Gerald Wilson, grandmother Goldie Mae, brother James Wilson, and grandson Karson Cates. He is survived by his wife Susan Wilson of San Angelo; step-daughter Jennifer Dunnam of San Angelo; his beloved Yorkie, Binky; mother and step-father Charlene and Johnny Ripley of Alpine, TX; mother-in-law Marilyn Modgling of San Angelo; sister and brother-in-law Terry and Jack Rickman and niece Jacinda of Longview, TX; brothers Jerry, Blane, Michael, and Scott; sister-in-law Nanci Economidis and her husband George, their daughter Holli Economidis, and her daughter Gracelyn; the mother of his children, Katie Dixon, of San Angelo; daughter and son-in-law Karla Kay and Chris Ryan and grandchildren Kaiden, Keegan, Katelyn, and Kelton of Alamogordo, NM; daughter and son-in-law Kari and Adam Cates and grandchildren Kali and Kellan of Lubbock, TX; and son and daughter-in-law Kylan and Kimberly Wilson of San Angelo.
