

Doris June Green, 89, passed away on September 8, 2018 after a brief illness. Doris was born on July 4, 1929, to Merle and Mildred Inman in Pueblo, Colorado. After graduating from Pueblo Junior College, Doris worked as a secretary for Minnequa State Bank.
She married Herman William Green in 1954. As a Santa Fe Railway family, Doris and Herman lived in Pueblo, CO and La Junta, CO, Slaton and Silsbee, Texas, and Pinole, CA. They moved to San Angelo in 2006 to be near family. Doris was an excellent seamstress, a lifelong bridge player, and genealogist. Doris loved traveling and visited much of the US, Canada, and Europe. Doris was proud to be a member of the DAR Pocahontas Chapter.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Herman. She is survived by her three children, Laurel Banta of San Angelo, Julie McMahan (Lanny) of Topeka, KS, and Bill Green (Sarah) of Salem, OR, her brother, Denzil Inman (Dianne Gimber) of Centennial, CO.
Doris frequently talked about what wonderful neighbors she had. Thank you to all the loving neighbors and to Community Hospital Staff for their thoughtful support. A celebration of Doris's Life will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 2-4 at The Black Swan (118 S. Chadbourne St.)
Doris will be interred next to her husband in Mountainview Cemetery in Pueblo, CO. at a later date. Memorials may be made to DAR or San Angelo Railway Museum.
