

Efrain (Frank) G. Noriega, 86, was called home, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in San Angelo, Texas. He was born May 13, 1931, to Felix and Juanita Noriega in Sonora, Texas. Those left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Trinidad (Trini) Noriega; Sister, Mikeila and her husband, Theodoro Chavez; Daughters, Diana and her husband, Tom Moore, Joyce and her husband, Rick Cruz, Edna Gomez, Lisa Zapata and her husband, Joe Zapata; Grandchildren, Frank Esquivel, Sammy Esquivel Jr., Debbie and her husband, Danny Rayes, Cindy and her husband, Richard Almendarez, Miles Cruz, Joe Richard Zapata, Valarie and her husband, Joseph Gomez, Gilbert Luera and his partner, Steven Nguyen, Erica Zapata, and Elizabeth Luera and her partner, Desirey Lopez; Great-Grandchildren, Jo Edna, Hunter, Chad, Connor, Jacob, Noah, Michael, Nasiah, Aaden, Christian, Genevieve, and Jaxson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Frank was a mechanic by trade, a skill he mastered and received numerous certifications from Cadillac, GM and others. The love that he had for his family always took front seat to anything else. His family will always carry the memories of him singing or whistling his favorite songs, especially Blue Moon or Billy Boy as well as him passing on his years of wisdom, whether about fixing cars or just living the good life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Juanita Noriega; brothers and sisters, Santana Noriega, Consuelo Lozano, Alisandro Noriega, Maria Senovia, Victor Noriega, Salvador Noriega, Elvira Reyna, Geneva Gonzales, and Reyes Noriega; and son, Jerry Castorena.
A rosary was held Friday, July 14, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. in the Johnson’s Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, San Angelo. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in Sonora Cemetery, Sonora, Texas. Pallbearers were his nephews, Hector Noriega, John Noriega, and Eddie Noriega; his son in-law, Joe Zapata; and his grandsons, Joe Zapata Jr. and Gilbert Luera.
