She was born on April 24, 1960 in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from D.C. Everest High School in Schofield, WI. She moved to Texas in 1981. She married Michael Horton on June 7, 1986 and the two relocated to San Angelo in 1987. Beth worked for the City of San Angelo Vehicle Maintenance Department for over 20 years where she was well respected and loved by all members of the city.
There are many stories that can be told, but none that can show how truly magnificent she was. She was a loving wife, the best mother a son could ask for, and a friend that you would be honored to have. She was always quick with a smile and a word of support when you needed one and always looked for the best in those she met. All who have known her know that Heaven has gained an amazing angel.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael R. Horton; her son James Farrar (Diana); two brothers Michael Burke and Louis Burke (Kathleen); one sister Susan Finn (Jerald); a niece and nephew, Amelia and Sean Burke; and her closest friend since childhood, Chandra Witter.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of San Angelo or the American Cancer Society in recognition of their hard work and dedication in taking such wonderful care of Beth.
