Enrique Herrera, age 71, of San Angelo, Texas, formerly of Aurora, Ill., passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born June 9, 1941, in Alamo, Texas, the son of Merced and Enriquetta (Villarreal) Herrera. He married Adela Mercado on Oct. 8, 1960. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; their children, Henry (Myrna) Herrera Jr. of Aurora, Ill., Christie (Henry) Behrens of Oswego, Ill., and Stefanie (John) Hittle of Montgomery, Ill.; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his sister, Carlotta; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters. Always ready with a joke and a song, he will be remembered and deeply missed for his ability to light up the room with his music and laughter. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 5, at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 W. Beauregard Ave., San Angelo, TX 76903.
