Ernest Hollan Anderson was born on November 14, 1967 in Fort Worth, Texas. He died unexpectedly at home in Amarillo on February 13, 2012 at the age of 44. Ernie grew up in San Angelo and graduated from Lake View High School.
He worked with his dad in the contract mowing business and mowed the highways right of ways from the Red River to the Rio Grande. He later drove trucks and heavy equipment, with a knack for being able to operate any kind of machinery.
Ernie never met a stranger; he had a heart as big as Texas and will be greatly missed by family and the many friends he made wherever he went.
Preceding Ernie in death are his brother, Christopher Anderson, nephew Joshua Anderson, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Ernie is survived by his children, Trey Hollan Anderson of San Angelo, Beverly Morgan of Beaumont, and stepsons Kendall Malloy and Justin McCarty. He is also survived by his parents, Marlene and John Bell of Amarillo and Ron and Jana Anderson of San Angelo. Other survivors include his brother, Ronnie Anderson and wife Denise, of Aquilla and their children, Joe and Nikki, and brothers Chad Bell, Dusty Bell, and sister Angie Ficco.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16 in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Scooter McCurdy officiating.
Our son, although we know you are finally at peace, we will dearly miss you and love you forever.
