At a very young age he was forced to learn to survive on his own while at the same time providing for his little brother and his older sister. Despite all the trials and tribulations of his time he persevered as dedicated and respected provider. After an honorable service in the United States Army during the Korean War he returned to Sonora to married his beloved bride and moved to San Angelo in 1960, to raise three wonderful daughters. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His life was dedicated to his family and especially to his grandchildren. He was a man that was always there for anyone that needed his help. After 23 years of working as a carpenter he continues to help others less fortuned. Not a day went by when he could not be identified by his radiant smile that was full of life. He is survived by his loving wife; three loving daughters; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Family and friends may sign an online register book at johnsons-funeralhome.com.
